 FAQs

  • Unlike nutritionists, Dietitians are professionals with formal training and are authorised to provide medical nutrition advice for the treatment of a broad range of diseases and health conditions in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

So, whether you want to help in regulating your hormones to help establish a regular menstrual cycle, boost fertility, manage your weight, increase energy levels to keep up with the kids, or train for a half marathon, a dietitian can help to support you!

  • Unfortunately dietitian’s cannot order blood tests, however we can provide specific pathology recommendations to your GP to ensure your adequate nutritional stores. Please bring along any recent blood tests to help in our assessment and treatment plan.

  • The first appointment is an opportunity to get to know you so that we can work together on creating a tailored nutrition plan that suits you and your lifestyle.

This includes a thorough assessment of the food you eat alongside your eating patterns, work environment, exercise, sleep, stress, medical/family history, medications, blood tests and bowel pattern to ensure a holistic approach. This information enables a discussion on what ‘tweaks’ need to be considered to ensure optimum health that work for you and are ultimately sustainable.

I often ask for a 3-day food diary before the appointment to allow for some insights to ensure we make the most of the appointment. The review appointments allow us to discuss what is working and what is not to allow for tweaks to ensure they meet the nutritional needs as well as suit your lifestyle, to ultimately ensure that the changes are sustainable.

You can expect a friendly, supportive environment where your comfort and progress are our priority.

I kindly ask all clients to respect this policy so I can continue to provide a high-quality service and allow others on my waiting list to fill the sessions. For cancellations or requests to change less than 48 hours before your appointment, or for non-attendance, I usually apply a $50 cancellation fee unless it is out of your control.
